Our value begins with God
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them…”
We were made to need other people
“The LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone.’”
God loved us before we fixed ourselves
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Our love reflects a greater love
“We love because he first loved us.”
God’s love gives us a deeper security
“Nothing else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Put together
Made in God’s image → made for relationship with other people → loved by God before we fixed ourselves → able to reflect something of his love towards each other → secure in a love no human relationship can replace.
